We came to Macau in November 1998. We explored the town occasionally, usually while
doing shopping or during holidays. I guess, we visited almost each place -
starting from the most famous central part full of pink Portuguese
architecture, finishing in places where only Chinese live, somewhere
deep in the oldest parts of the town. In Macau there are a few Buddhist temples and churches that we were frequently
visiting. In this page I enclosed
only a few pictures for our friends and family that have never been to Macau, just to give
them a flavor of this place.
This is a panorama of the southern part of Macau. You can also see two
bridges from Macau to the Taipa island and far on the horizon another island
Coloane. This is quite unique picture. Far on the sea you can see a
number of other islands. Long time ago most of them were populated by
pirates.
