Many people do not know where the marvelous island of New Guinea is. In order to locate it, you should look for it on the map of the Pacific. To the north of Australia there is a large island which resembles a turkey sitting on the branch of a tree. The back half of this turkey this is just Papua New Guinea. On the enclosed below map find a town called Lae. It was there that we lived, for about 7 years. Every day we could enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains around the Markham valley and feel the wind from the Salomon sea. 

Most of Papua New Guinea is covered by high mountains and jungle. Generally, the settlements are located on the seashore. However, you can also find small towns in the central part of the country.
